Future Readings

Local reading venues and opportunities have been evolving, and I’m constantly on the hunt for new spaces and audiences. My well-attended and well-supported featured reading at The Cottage Inn in Kila turned out to be one of the final events at the English-style pub; the Inn soon closed its doors for good. And after several successful months as a weekly all-poetry event, the Kalispell Get Poetry Open Mic took a break and has yet to return.

Although I’ve become less of a regular at the venues listed here, you can still find me reading in these spaces on occasion. If you are a poet looking for a venue to read in, be sure to check them out—and let me know when you do so that I can come to hear your performance! If you have a venue or event that welcomes poetry, please email me.

Clementine’s
open-mic hosted by Joe, dinner by Stephanie
last Saturday of each month, 7 p.m.
Bigfork, Montana
It’s best to call ahead to sign up to perform or make a dinner reservation.

Open Mike Live at Crush
open-mic hosted by Marco Forcone & Don Caverly
Thursdays, 9 p.m.
Whitefish, Montana
I have yet to read at this open mic, but the hosts have made it clear performance poets are welcome any time. Fellow poets, here’s your chance to beat me to their stage.

The Craggy Range
open-mic hosted by Linda Vigil & Greg Grant
Wednesdays, 9 p.m.
Whitefish, Montana
This open mic always welcomes poets but has been on break recently; when you hear it’s starting up again, be sure to drop in and support its continued run.

“Get Poetry” Open Mic
hosted by Leigh Ann DiDomenico
Kalispell, Montana
This open mic is on break, but you can join the Facebook page to keep tabs on the other projects of its poets and other local poetry events.

I’ll post information about any special readings I may be participating in as they are scheduled. If you would like me to read at your venue or event, just email me. You can also find video clips of some of my recent readings on the Spoken Word page or in individual posts.
